NORWALK, CN: State of New York update its Medicaid claims processing for better managing the expanding Medicaid rolls with the help of Xerox solutions. In the deal, Xerox will implement Health Enterprise solution; a robust analytical platform Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) for a period of five years. It covers all aspects of contemporary Medicaid programs, including the new strategies in population health management, managed care, care coordination and other areas that are needed to meet Affordable Care Act objectives.

Better population health management is another advantage. Analyzing the data of New York Medicaid members, the system will identify high-risk populations who might benefit from the state’s care management programs. New York health officials will use its case management tool to offer high-risk members resources that can help improve their health while reducing the overall cost of care.
