SEATTLE, WA: Qualis Health—population health management organization, recently unveiled a resource guide for practicing physicians titled "2013 Quality and Resource Use Reports Interpretation and Quality Improvement Guide." The guide aims to assist organizations to learn how to use their QRUR, and take action on the collected data quality and cost efficiency.
The guide to QRUR supplements resources from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to help practices interpret their Medicare reports to improve quality of care, streamline resources, and identify care coordination opportunities to provide broader support for patient needs.
"QRURs provide comparative quality and cost data so that physicians can benchmark performance for quality improvement purposes," says Jonathan Sugarman, MD, MPH, Qualis Health President and CEO. "At Qualis Health, we're committed to offering ways to help providers manage costs and improve quality of care."
QRURs provide comparative information so that physicians can view examples of the clinical care their patients receive in relation to the average care and costs of other physicians' Medicare patients.
